New requirements for narrative reporting came into effect in 2017, and further changes will take effect for reporting in the 2019/2020 reporting season. This webinar will highlight recent changes and bring you up to speed with this increasingly important aspect of reporting.

Amanda Swaffield, Director - National Accounting & Auditing, Deloitte Amanda is a director in Deloitte’s National Accounting & Audit team where she leads Deloitte’s narrative reporting team and provides technical advice on a range of UK GAAP and IFRS matters, as well as integrated reporting and narrative reporting. An active member of the broader corporate reporting community; she is a member of the FRC’s Narrative Reporting Advisory Panel, works with the International Integrated Reporting Committee (IIRC), the Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) programme, and is a member of various ICAEW working parties in respect of new UK GAAP, narrative reporting and integrated reporting. She is a regular presenter at the Deloitte Academy, a contributor to the publication GAAP 2017 and leads the Deloitte annual survey of narrative reporting in the annual reports of listed companies.
Debbie Crawshawe, Project Director, Financial Reporting Council Debbie Crawshawe is a Project Director in the Accounting Policy Team of the Financial Reporting Council. She has a particular interest in narrative and broader corporate reporting and recently updated the Guidance on the Strategic Report to reflect changes in non-financial reporting requirements and the new reporting on section 172. Debbie is a chartered accountant with extensive experience in regulation. She has worked at the FRC for the past 14 years and prior to that worked at the UK Listing Authority.
