With over 19 years’ experience, Nigel advises both individuals and companies to uncover significant tax relief and tax refunds from their work. He was nominated for Tolley’s Taxation ‘Tax Writer of the Year Award’ in 2017 and posts regularly through Catax’s internal blog, ‘Tax Talk’, to educate and advise anyone thinking of claiming Research & Development Tax relief, as well as providing content for external sources.

Lewis joined the Bank in October 2016 as the MEIF Senior Relationship Manager, covering the East and South-East Midlands. The Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) is a £250m 'fund-of-funds' launched in February 2018 and providing equity, debt, small business loans and early stage, proof-of-concept funding for SMEs across the Midlands. He transferred to the UK Network Team in the Bank as Senior Manager, covering the East & South-East Midlands, in October 2018. Lewis has 25 years’ experience in economic development including two years at Capital for Enterprise Limited (the Bank's predecessor), where he worked in the Debt Team on the Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) scheme and former RDA legacy funds, ten years at East Midlands Development Agency (emda) in the Business Investment Team and five years at Nottingham City Council, where he managed a team and a series of grant, loan and equity funds, and investment readiness programmes. Lewis also has over five years commercial and personal banking experience with Lloyds Banking Group

Graham Goss FCA, Director Greenslades LimitedGraham qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1969 in Liverpool. After staying in the profession post qualifying with EY he moved into commerce for 10 years with senior financial roles with Dentsply International Inc., Kwik Fit and Ladbroke Group, before returning to professional life building up the Haines Watts East Midlands Offices, retiring in 2014. He now runs a boutique practice looking after some long term clients and carrying out specialist projects and corporate finance work.
Shaun Beaney, Corporate Finance Faculty, ICAEWShaun works on communications, public policy and advisory projects for the Corporate Finance Faculty, particularly on innovation investment, access to finance, high-growth companies and venture capital. He devised, researched and co-authored: Creative Industries - Routes to Finance; Boosting Finance for Engineering & Technology; UK Television in Focus; and Boosting Finance for the UK's Industrial Strategy. He’s Chair of Immerse UK’s Access to Finance & Investment Working Group. He previously worked in research at BDO in London and was deputy editor of Real Deals, the international private equity and venture capital magazine.
