The Corporate Finance Faculty’s 2019 Annual Reception brings together senior representatives of the faculty’s many members and contributors from business, advisory, investment, government, academia and from other major representative bodies for a highly enjoyable evening in the heart of London.
Guest Speaker The guest speaker will be Deb Oxley OBE, Chief Executive of the Employee Ownership Association. Deb and the Employee Ownership Association are at the forefront of a growing trend towards employee-owned businesses (see: Corporate Financier, April 2019) as companies and their advisers consider new, more inclusive approaches to their development and expansion – a trend that includes many famous names such as Aardman. She led the recent UK national enquiry that resulted in the Ownership Dividend report. In the 2019 New Year’s honours, Deb was awarded an OBE for services to employee ownership and social enterprises. Deb is also a member of the mutual advisory group of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, on the board of the Managing Partners’ Forum, a board member of Scotland for EO, a trustee of CatZero, and a non-executive director of thinkingplace. She joins a very impressive list of previous guest speakers at the Corporate Finance Faculty’s Annual Reception, which has included Lord Smith of Kelvin KT CH, Dr Ruth McKernan CBE, Lord Clement-Jones CBE, Dale Murray CBE and Baroness Hogg.
The Annual Reception, hosted by David Petrie, Head of Corporate Finance at ICAEW, will take place on the evening of 12 November at Painters' Hall, 9 Little Trinity Lane, London EC4V 2AD.
