The European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) is a new mandate requiring companies with securities listed on EU regulated markets to prepare their annual financial reports in a single electronic reporting data format (xHTML) with IFRS primary financial statements being labelled with XBRL tags.
Effective for accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2020, it is estimated that around 7,000 companies are impacted with over 1,200 UK companies being the single biggest group affected.
This webinar will help companies and their advisers get ready by explaining the legislation and to what extent it will impact on reporting processes. Lessons learned from a similar experience for foreign private issuers filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission will also be covered.
An introduction to the legislation and what it means for those affected
Conclusions from field testing
The impact on the reporting process for companies
Practical lessons from the experience of foreign private issuers (FPIs) filing with the US SEC
