Nick Nesbitt, Director, Financial Planning (Manchester)
Nick is a Chartered Financial Planner and Chartered Wealth Manager and has worked for Mazars for nine years. He worked very closely with ICAEW in London running the retirement and Wills/Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning events at Chartered Accountants' Hall and is now working with the institute to offer these events nationally, including in Manchester where he is now based. Nick specialises in retirement, IHT and investment planning and has a particular focus on advising professional individuals. He is an advocate of using financial modelling to demonstrate the rationale behind financial planning advice given to clients.
Daniel Foy, Assistant Manager, Financial Planning (Manchester/Liverpool)
Daniel is a Chartered Financial Planner and a current member of the Chartered Management Institute. Daniel joined Mazars in 2018 having spent five years training at another Chartered Financial Planning firm. He works closely with business owners and HNW individuals, specialising in financial modelling. Daniel helps clients to build an understanding of their own financial position and provides advice on areas such as pensions, retirement and protection to ensure clients continue to realise their goals.
George Lagarias, Senior Economist, Wealth Management (National)
George joined Mazars Wealth Management in 2016 as Senior Investment Analyst, focusing on macroeconomics and investment strategy, actively contributing to the firm’s investment house view. He has 12 years of experience in the financial markets as an Investment Analyst, Fund Manager and Investment Writer for a number of financial institutions in the UK and Greece. Prior to joining Mazars, George worked as Investment Writer in Close Brothers Asset Management and EFG Asset Management. He spent 4 years as a Fund Manager in Marfin Asset Management where he was responsible for the firm’s range of multi-asset class Fund of Funds as well as managing two equity funds. He has also worked as an investment analyst and portfolio specialist at the wealth management divisions of EFG Eurobank and Alpha Bank. George is IMC and CF30 certified and holds an MBA and a BSc in Accounting and Finance.
