With the 2019/20 reporting season nearly upon us, this webinar will summarise the findings of the FRC’s Annual review of corporate governance and reporting 2018/19 (due for publication in October) and recent thematic reviews, as well as other hot topics. Recent accounting standards, regulatory developments and uncertain political and economic factors create a challenging environment in which to prepare annual reports. This webinar will provide constructive and practical guidance on how to improve the quality of annual reports for users, and meet the expectations of regulators, at a time when the profession is under unprecedented scrutiny. Although aimed primarily at IFRS reporters, the topics and practical tips covered in this webinar will also be relevant to larger entities reporting under UK GAAP.
The webinar will cover:
Findings from the FRC’s Annual review of corporate governance and reporting 2018/19 and recent thematic reviews
Important aspects relating to new accounting standards and other regulatory developments affecting 2019/20 annual reports
The impact of wider political and economic factors
