He has been responsible for developing the range of Brexit related resources hosted at icaew.com/Brexit and for liaising with members to understand how Brexit affects their businesses.John’s background is in corporate reporting, having been an auditor, preparer and analyst of listed company corporate reports. In his previous role he was responsible globally for accounting policy and research at rating agency Fitch. John trained with PwC in London.He is the chair of the London Society of Chartered Accountants financial reporting group and represents ICAEW at Accountancy Europe. He is a former member of the FASB’s advisory council.Frank Haskew FCA CTA, Head of Tax, ICAEWFrank is Head of ICAEW’s Tax Faculty and has over 30 years’ experience in tax. Frank has ultimate staff responsibility at the ICAEW for all tax and related issues, including making representations to Government. He is actively involved in drafting and preparing material for ICAEW’s Brexit hub and, in association with Chartered Accountants Ireland (ICAI), has also prepared and published a guide on Brexit for members. He also presented a joint webinar with ICAI on Brexit issues.Frank has also been actively developing the ICAEW’s position on the UK’s tax devolution agenda as it affects all constituent parts of the UK, and is a member of the Tax Advisory Group of the Welsh Government.
Frank is a past editor of ICAEW Tax Faculty’s monthly magazine TAXline and was also a former co-editor of the Tax Faculty’s newswire. Frank is also involved very closely with ICAEW media work, and is regularly quoted in press articles.
