Andrew Strickland, Scrutton BlandAndrew works very closely with the business valuation community of the ICAEW; he undertakes various forms of contentious valuation and also delivers training in business valuation. His valuation work is mainly in respect of shareholder disputes, valuations in divorce and fiscal valuation. Andrew is the author of an article which appeared in Taxation on the question of the control premium and another dealing with the valuation of growth shares using option modelling; he was the joint author of an article in the USA magazine, Business Valuation Update dealing with the bid premium and the heterogeneous investor population. He is a director of the International Institute of Business Valuers and chairs its education committee.
Vikki Wall, Partner, Haberman IlettVikki is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience as a forensic accountant focusing on work as an expert witness. She has been the testifying expert in cases before the UK Courts and international arbitration tribunals on a variety of accounting and financial issues. Vikki holds a first-class degree in Mathematics, studying at both Leeds and Paris VII Universities. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and chair of the ICAEW Forensic and Expert Witness Community. She speaks publicly and provides training on topics including valuation, understanding financial statements and assessing quantum on IT disputes.
Jern-Fei Ng QC, Essex Court ChambersJern-Fei Ng QC was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2018 at the age of 38, making him one of the youngest QCs to be appointed. He is described in the legal directories as “a formidable advocate”; with “first-class advocacy skills” who “comes up with extremely clever points” and has an ability to “present practical legal solutions that not only win you the battles, but also the war.” “ He shows tenacity in fighting his client’s corner and has the ability to swiftly produce forceful oral rebuttals.” “An extremely persuasive advocate, who brings considerable intellectual capacity and endless energy to cases; “can eat documents for breakfast” and has a “formidable reputation in Asia Pacific as an arbitrator and counsel”.
