hosted by Carolyn du Toit (ICAEW overseas contact member in the Cayman Islands) a panel comprising ACA qualified members with international experience will give their perspectives on how their experience shaped their careers and their personal lives.

Carolyn du Toit, Assurance Partner, PwC
Carolyn is an audit partner in the Asset Management Group in the Cayman Islands firm of PwC and has fourteen years of professional experience, predominantly within assurance and business advisory services. Upon graduating from the University of Warwick in 2004, Carolyn joined PwC in London, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2007 and becoming a member of the ICAEW. Carolyn joined the Cayman Islands firm from PwC London ten years ago. Specializing in the audit of alternative investment companies, her portfolio consists of diversified asset management clients which, whilst focused on hedge funds, also includes mutual funds and pension funds and covers a wide variety of corporate structures and sizes from stand-alone start-up entities to well established, complex hedge fund groups. Carolyn is a licensed ACA and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. She is also a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA) and was previously a member of their learning and education committee, on which she served for six years. Carolyn is a 100 Women in Finance Sustaining Angel and is co-chair of their Cayman Islands Peer Engagement Committee as well as co-chair of the audit sub-committee thereon. She is also a regular participant in the Cayman Finance student education and work experience program. Carolyn lives in Grand Cayman with her husband and dog.
Elizabeth Budzynski, Corporate Finance & Recovery Consultant, PwC
Elizabeth is a corporate finance & recovery consultant based in Edinburgh. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior Manager with PwC Cayman Islands advisory practice for 9 years, before which she worked with PwC Edinburgh. She has over 15 years of turnaround, restructuring and insolvency experience both in the UK and the Cayman Islands.
Ben Hooper, Head of Outsourcing and Financial Accounting, Arram Berlyn Gardner (ABG)
Ben is Head of Outsourcing and Financial Accounting at Arram Berlyn Gardner, (ABG) specialising in supporting both UK and international businesses with their internal accounting and finance matters. Prior to joining ABG, he gained extensive experience in the UK working as working as a Senior Manager at Moore Stephens, followed by Blick Rothenberg where he provided accounting, tax, assurance and compliance services to a wide range of clients in many different territories. Before this, Ben spent four years working in the Cayman Islands with PwC, where he was an audit manager with a particular focus on the Captive Insurance industry. As well as overseeing the accounting services offered to a portfolio of clients, he is responsible for co-ordinating bespoke IT system developments
