Tyrone Courtman is Managing Director at Duff & Phelps and is an expert in Restructuring with over 30 years experience. Before joining Duff & Phelps in February 2019, Tyrone spent over 22 years as a Partner at the regional business advisory practice, PFK Cooper Parry, where he led the firm’s Business Restructuring Recovery and Insolvency services practice. Tyrone advises underperforming or financially stressed and distressed businesses, their owners, lenders, distressed investors and individuals in financial restructuring and recovery situations. His experience spans a broad range of sectors including automotive, commercial aviation and aerospace, farming, distribution, construction, healthcare, intellectual property, professional partnerships and manufacturing. Tyrone is a Chartered Accountant, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), a fellow member of EACTP, and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. In addition, he is President of the ICAEW Leicestershire and Northamptonshire District Society, a member of the Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) Global Board of Trustees and a member of the TMA Europe Board.
Simeon Gilchrist is a partner in Edwin Coe's Restructuring & Insolvency team. With both contentious and transactional insolvency expertise, Simeon advises insolvency practitioners, banks, distressed companies and individuals in a wide range of both corporate and personal insolvency matters. His corporate transactional work has an administration bias with the preparation of business sales being a particular specialism. In personal insolvency matters, Simeon has a specialist European Regulation practice, advising individuals, practitioners and creditors on the application of the European Regulation and what is known as COMI shifting or bankruptcy tourism. Simeon is also ranked as a Band 1 Leading Individual in Chambers UK 2020.
