During this webinar Alexandra Bentley, Producer and Company Director of AB+ Films, will discuss several areas and ask whether the government is doing enough to support these industries.

The webinar will discuss the impact on each of these integral parts of the industry and analyse the immediate steps that are being taken to remedy the situation. We shall also look to summarise the overall impact and see whether there are any new trends emerging as a result of this pandemic.
Alexandra Bentley, Producer and Company Director, AB+ films
Alexandra began her career in the film industry over a decade ago at Deluxe Digital, before moving onto Theatrical Sales departments of Warner Brothers and later Twentieth Century Fox. Her practical knowledge of the business of film is supported by a First Class Honours Degree in Film and Media from the University of London. She joined The Philm Company in 2012 and produced THE LAST SHOWING, a $2m psychological thriller, starring Robert Englund (NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET), Emily Berrington (24, HUMANS) and Finn Jones (GAME OF THRONES, THE IRON FIST), which sold to Sony Pictures in the UK, as well as a number of top distributors around the world. She has also raised a development fund, which allowed for the production of the BAPTISM SPEC TRAILER and purchase of a few options on books and scripts.
In 2014 Alex produced THE FOUR WARRIORS - family action adventure, released by distribution companies, such as Metrodome (UK), Lionsgate (US) in 2015, amongst many others globally. In 2015 she partnered up with Granfalloon’s John and Laura to co-produce a US shot thriller - INDISCRETION, starring Oscar winner Mira Sorvino, Cary Elwes, Christopher Backus and Katherine McNamara.
In 2016 she has set up her own brand AB Plus Film, under which she produces films and TV commercials. Her most recent producing credit is a remake of a Disney classic THE WATCHER IN THE WOODS directed by Melissa Joan Hart, starring Oscar winner Anjelica Huston. Some of the brands Alexandra worked with recently are: McDonald’s, Philips, Unilever and Mattel. She is currently waiting to begin principal photography on her latest feature TASTINGS, financed by Sony Pictures. When time allows Alex also lectures in producing at the prestigious MA Producing program at the Met Film School, Norwich as well as Warwick Universities, as well as curates a program of industry talks for the Soho House Group.
