Webinar Information

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to affect economic and financial markets, with almost every industry confronting the challenges associated with it. For many working in charities and non-profit organisations, they have seen sharp declines in revenue owing to their retail outlets closing and fundraising events being cancelled.

This has the potential to result in an even steeper downturn, which in turn will prolong and exacerbate the challenges of fundraising and charitable operations in the future.

In this webinar Don Bawtree, Senior Adviser at BDO LLP, will discuss what you need to be aware of from an accountants perspective. The webinar will cover:

  • The implications of coronavirus for charities
  • Second Edition SORP information sheets
  • Implications of revised charity commission guidance – in particular, connections with other organisations and incident reporting
  • Relevant developments from other UK charity regulators and the FRC

The webinar will discuss these important areas and examine the steps that charities can take in the current situation. Delegates will also have the opportunity to pose their questions to Don at the end of the webinar.
