Chairman’s welcome and introduction
Mark Skellum, Chair, ICAEW Healthcare Community
Artificial intelligence and machine learning in Healthcare
Some healthcare and technology innovators are collaborating and trying to change our current reality by experimenting with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Computers and the algorithms they run can scrub colossal amounts of data - much faster and more accurately than human scientists or medical professionals - to unearth patterns and predictions to enhance disease diagnosis, inform treatment plans and enhance public health and safety.
Bernard Marr, ICAEW Academy Trainer, international best-selling author, keynote speaker, futurist, and strategic business & technology advisor
New care models - Staying at the forefront
Naresh Rati, GP and CEO, Modality Partnership
COVID-19 has had a profound impact on our country and as a result the NHS has had to respond to the grave threat that this virus poses and the many challenges this has caused. The response to the challenge within the NHS has been truly breath-taking and the transformation that has occurred in the way care is delivered took place over a matter of days and during normal times would have taken years.
General practice remains the bedrock of the NHS and has received little of the media coverage but the last few weeks will be seen as one of the most pivotal periods of time in a generation in terms of how general practice delivers care.
