Aims and objectives

  • Knowing – An appreciation of how remote teams are different. An initial, simple framework for leading in a remote environment. The importance of team behaviours that show themselves on digital platforms.
  • Doing – Challenging yourself to lead differently. Reflecting on your learning from the facilitator and other participants. Thinking about your personal facilitation style in digital meetings and the impact you can have.
  • Feeling – More confident and better equipped to lead remote meetings, discussions, relationships and teams. More committed to leading in a digital world. Better connected even though teams are remotely located.

  • Exploring the challenges and opportunities for finance
  • Creating a ‘safe’ virtual space for finance transformation
  • How to maintain financial integrity when work is invisible
  • Adapting finance team KPIs and value add metrics
  • Maximising team interactions and collaboration
  • Facilitation techniques for remote team meetings

If you are part of a team, lead a team or will be heading up a team, then this course will introduce some of the concepts that make remote working different.

Target audience
Any manager who needs to lead teams who are geographically dispersed.

Amanda Carlyle BSc MSc ACA ABNIP
Amanda is a business and finance coach with expertise delivering change across public sector organisations, global companies and smaller enterprises. She has a strong track record of facilitating board level business planning workshops to create clear and focused strategies. She has trained over 10,000 Finance professionals since 2006, specializing in how change programmes can maximise added value to tax payers and patients.

Amanda is happiest when designing transformation programs through coaching and training at a senior level. Her key areas are Finance Shared Services and Business Partnering where she has helped leadership teams deliver improvements in stakeholder feedback, staff engagement levels and cost reduction. She has over 20 years experience working in designing and delivering high impact training courses and loves to learn from her participants.

CANCELLATIONS AND LATE BOOKINGS
Cancellations received less than 14 days before the event date will not be refunded. All cancellations must be made in writing to events.information@icaew.com. If BBHSCA has to cancel the event, our liability in the event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of the fee.
