Accountants working in professional practice face a seemingly endless stream of regulatory changes which affect practice management. Non-compliance can result in a bad outcome at the time of an inspection visit from a professional body.
This course will explain all the recent changes and also highlight common issues on professional body regulatory visits, helping you to ensure that your practice is well prepared in the event of such a visit.

Content:

  • AML procedures reviewed during Practice Assurance visits and why they matter;
  • Client monies and firm bank arrangements – do’s and don’ts;
  • GDPR and ICO registration - what your professional body will be expecting you to do to comply;
  • Top tips for managing risk and engagement letters in your practice;
  • Important considerations for PII;
  • Professional Conduct in Relation to Tax (PCRT);
  • Recent regulator feedback on Practice Assurance compliance – what the disciplinary cases tell us.

Target audience:

General accounting practitioners who have an
interest in, or responsibility for, quality assurance and
regulation within their firms.

Online bookings will close at 17:30 the day prior to the event. Late bookings can still be made provided details of the bookings are sent to BBH via email or text so delegates are expected at the venue (E kim.shield@icaew.com M 07715 496 459 or E elizabeth.williams@bbhsca.org.uk M 07986 468736)
