Hannah Keartland, Director, Hannah Keartland Limited
Hannah helps organisations to deliver innovation that has an impact – it’s not just about post it notes and ideas! Hannah’s focus is on putting excellent inter-functional collaboration at the heart of innovation, making sure that there is the right collaboration across the organisation at all stages of the innovation process. She understands what it takes to actually deliver innovation and change, drawing on her director level experience in both innovation and finance & operations, as well as 20 years of practical experience working on innovation, project delivery and management roles across all business areas. Hannah did her accountancy training at Deloitte and has also worked at Innocent Drinks and Cancer Research UK. She is Trustee of Social Tech Trust.
Nina El-lmad, Finance Director, Simpson booth limited
Nina qualified with Arthur Andersen in 2001 and the following year moved to work in a variety of tax and finance roles for a large listed business in the oil and gas sector. After 10 years in that business, she had her first child and decided to leave corporate life behind to try and find a way of more effectively balancing a career with family commitments. In 2012 she was involved in the set up of a recruitment business and since then has gone on to carve out a portfolio FD career. She currently serves as a part-time FD to three businesses and has served on a number of Boards and Audit Committees in both the private and charitable sectors, including several years spent as Honorary Treasurer on the Board of NCT, the UK’s leading charity for parents. In partnership with a leading QC, she is currently in the final stages of seeking approval from the Solicitors Regulatory Authority to launch a niche law firm called Astraea Group, which will provide commercial litigation and dispute resolution services to a variety of both corporate and individual clients. Nina has three boys under the age of 10 and believes that her flexible, portfolio career allows her to balance the demands of motherhood with having a fulfilling professional life.
Daniella Wainwright, Portfolio Finance Director, Wainwright Consulting Limited
As a Portfolio Finance Director, Dani helps SMEs simplify financial complexity to grow their business and increase profitability. Dani brings the financial rigour and control (but none of the red tape!) to SMEs going through change, whether looking to grow, sell, raise finance or plan an exit strategy. Dani worked with SMEs during her time in practice, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2005 at Grant Thornton, before moving into industry where she has held a number of senior finance roles at listed plcs, most recently at a FTSE 100 supermarket. Mum to two, Dani recently left the Corporate world and believes her recently established Portfolio career will allow her to continue to have an engaging, rewarding career, but with a more balanced life.

Alison is a senior finance professional with UK and international experience and a specialism in the Hospitality, Leisure and Creative industries. Alison’s early career was in FTSE 50, US quoted and large UK corporates, followed by full –time FD roles in the SME sector working with private equity, VC backed and Not-for-Profit companies. For over a decade she has had a portfolio career using her prior experience to support SMEs and individuals. In addition to portfolio FD and Consultancy services, she works with finance professionals as they address challenges in their career progression, including those transitioning to a portfolio career. Alison works alongside ICAEW to programme events and content for the IAC Community in her role as special adviser and subject matter expert. She is also a past long standing committee member for the Women in Finance Community.
Surekha Aggarwal, Business Advisor, Coach and Mentor, Carnelian Business Services LtdSurekha has had a portfolio career since 1995. Prior to that, during a 12-year career with Deloitte, she acquired extensive experience across all disciplines including audit, tax, consultancy, forensics, business recovery and corporate finance. Her portfolio has included acting as non-executive director, corporate finance advisor, quasi finance director, coach and mentor. Surekha now works with business owners, many of whom are self-employed, to optimise pricing, revenue and overall performance. She brings fresh mindsets to enable business owners to fulfil their aspirations.
