Charity Accounting, Reporting & Governance update (Spring) Audience: Practice*Live date has now passed - this is an on demand recording of the event*
This webinar provides an essential summary of the main pronouncements in charity accounting, reporting and governance which are relevant for charity auditors and independent examiners, and finance professionals who work in or volunteer for charities. Sally will focus on developments in the 6-9 months prior to the date of the webinar and will also look ahead to what’s on the horizon and relevant for charities’ future reporting periods.
Sally will set this in the context of the sector challenges, and the impact on charities’ reporting, governance and risk management processes relevant at the time of the webinar. The webinar will highlight key messages from the Charity Commission’s investigations and monitoring work in the period, as well as the tools and opportunities available to support UK charity Trustees and their auditors / examiners.

Sally is a chartered accountant, with longstanding experience of advising on charity accounting, reporting and governance matters. For many years, Sally acted as external audit and advisory partner for a variety of not for profit organisations. She now runs her own consultancy business specialising in tailored support and training for charity trustees, finance staff and volunteers. Sally also develops and develops charity seminars and webinars for the ICAEW, including the Charities Essentials updates. Sally is an active Audit & Risk Committee member of a major grant-giving charity, and volunteers for a couple of other charities, enabling her to fully appreciate challenges from a range of perspectives.

How long will be the webinar be?Total running time for the live webinars is 2hours and twenty minutes. The live webinars are split into two 50 minute sessions with a 10 minute comfort break in between - the second session finishes off with a live 30-minute Q&A.Part 1 - 50 mins Part 2 - 1 hour 20 mins
