Event information

Every few weeks a different speaker from a different key business across the South East will be interviewed and invited to talk about how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected them. Unique insight and perspective will be given as they spend half an hour giving their reflections on the changes that they have witnessed and helped shape since the start of the pandemic, both from an organisational and a personal point of view across the region as a whole. We'll also hear how business models have been forced to adapt and which new skills have had to be rapidly learned as the businesses have evolved. The interviews will cover different sectors including: Kent-based law firm Brachers LLP and Regal Estates, an Independent estate agency

Joanna Worby, Managing Partner of leading Kent-based law firm Brachers LLP

Joanna was appointed as Managing Partner in May 2013. She joined the firm in 1991 as a trainee solicitor and became a partner in 1999. She is also former Head of the firm’s Employment & HR team. She is a litigator with a reputation for advising on complex litigation both in the High Court and at Tribunals. She prides herself on giving clear practical advice which is both strategic and commercially focused. Developing a good trusting relationship with a client is absolutely paramount. Joanna is also passionate about ensuring everyone at the firm is given the best chance to excel. That means embracing diversity, flexible working and taking everything good about the culture of the firm and making it better.

Robert Brady, Lettings Director, Regal Estates, an independent estate agency

Robert has over 15 years’ experience within finance and property and has a long history of combining this with technology and innovation. While working for one of the biggest banks in the world, he was given an award for transforming one of their worst performing branches into one of their best. Robert then moved into an estate and letting agency where he was responsible for transforming Regal Estates into the modern, data driven business it is today. Outside of Regal Estates, Robert is the CEO of Fight Train Clothing, a brand that supports the mental health community, raising awareness and encouraging people to speak up.
