Ede Dafinone MA FCA - ICAEW Council Member for Africa
Ede started his career in 1984 with Touche Ross & Co in London and joined the family firm in Lagos in 1989.

Ede’s experience spans audit and consultancy in a variety of industries.

Ede was appointed the Chair of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation in 2015, is the Chair of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria Export Promotion Group (MANEG) and currently serves as the Chair of ICAEW’s Members Advisory Board for Africa. He is a Trustee of the Guild of Fine Artists of Nigeria.

The Dafinone family are in the Guinness Book of Records for having the highest number of members of a nuclear family as members of ICAEW. Ede’s father, himself and his four siblings all being members of the Institute.

Michael Armstrong FCA - ICAEW MEASA Regional Director
Michael joined ICAEW in July 2014 as our Regional Director for Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA).

Prior to joining ICAEW, Michael spent 35 years with KPMG. He joined KPMG in London in 1978 and qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 1982. Michael has more than 25 years of experience working in the Middle East. He was appointed as Partner in 1988. He served as Partner in Charge of KPMG's practice in Oman. Michael was a member of the Management Committee of KPMG in the Lower Gulf and was appointed as their Head of Audit from 2005 until his retirement in 2013. He served as a member of KPMG's Global Quality Steering Group.

Michael has extensive experience in auditing and advising financial institutions, and energy and natural resources companies; in addition to having held several leadership and advisory positions in business and the government sector.

Colin Iles - Founder, Colin Iles
Colin Iles has 20 years of experience working for some of the top global consultancies and financial institutions in London, Frankfurt, Singapore and most recently South Africa.
Throughout his career Colin has focused on designing and implementing solutions that bring positive benefits to the communities and stakeholders the organisations serve.
His specific focus in his own words…“Most organisations develop and execute strategies that are no longer appropriate to deal with the existential threats that disruptive technologies bring. It’s incredibly satisfying working with today’s leaders to design models that allow them to adapt and win in this exponentially changing world.”
Whether presenting, facilitating or consulting, Colin mixes his professional experiences with humour, deep research and razor sharp intellect to ensure his audiences stretch their thinking as to where the real threats lie, and whether their organisation, their division or their teams are equipped to deal with these threats.
Outside of running his own consultancy, Colin is CxO of the Barclays Equinox Leadership Centre, is deputy chair of the African Institute of Financial Markets Risk Management, is currently mentoring a number of startups and is currently building an app to reduce the administrative burden for B2B transactions.

Clive Kaplan - CEO, Green Mind Capital
Clive a CA(SA) with over 20 years’ experience as an executive director in both listed and unlisted companies.
Clive brings some interesting perspectives to the field of management. Having been involved at Director/Board level, he offers a wealth of wisdom on both the people and business front.
Clive is the CEO of GREEN MIND CAPITAL (Pty) Ltd. The company focuses on assisting executives, especially emerging young CA’s, in maximizing their potential and fast-tracking their careers.
Clive has been involved with coaching and self-development since 1994. He has a particular interest in Cognitive Awareness Technology (CAT) and has completed a number of advanced courses on the topic including The More To Life Training, Way of The Warrior, The Power of Self Esteem, The Power of Purpose, The Power of Connection, The A & B Phase Mentor Training, The I Am Training, Joy Spring, and is in the process of completing the world-renowned ORSC Corporate Coaching Course.
Clive’s mix of years of practical executive experience coupled with his own personal self-development journey brings together a unique method of Transformation Coaching. He has hundreds of hours of one-on-one coaching to his credit.
Clive Kaplan is a prolific writer on LinkedIn PULSE. He has written over 45 articles on various topics from financial management and operations to job search and confidence building. He is also the author of the winQs series (pronounced ‘winks’) which appears regularly on the LinkedIn network.
Clive is also a ORT Jet mentor and works closely with the More To Life Program, both on a voluntary basis.

Belinda Carreira – Managing Director, WELL Advisers

Belinda qualified as a Chartered Accountant through Deloittes in 1998. Her business experience includes working in Corporate Finance, Financial Control, Banking, Assurance, Strategy Consulting, Tax and Project Management. Belinda has a passion for health and wellbeing, she believes that people are the most valuable asset any organisation has. Belinda enjoys finding new and innovative Wellness Solutions for organisations and delivering these with outstanding service excellence.
