Webinar Information

In this webinar, Andrew Constable and Richard Jones will discuss various measures included in this year’s Finance Bill relating to small and medium sized companies and owner-managed businesses, with a particular focus on changes in the CT rate and the temporary changes to the loss carry back rules. They will be debating the practical implications of these changes, including the impact on business incorporations, cashflow and tax planning strategies.

Speakers

Andrew Constable: Andrew Constable is a Tax Partner at Moore Kingston Smith. He works predominately with SME businesses and their owners, with professional firms and property businesses being areas of particular focus. He is also a member of the ICAEW Tax Faculty’s SME Business Tax Committee and the Chartered Institute of Taxation’s Owner Managed Business Technical Sub-Committee.

Richard Jones: Richard joined ICAEW’s Tax Faculty in November 2020. He coordinates the work of the faculty on business tax and compliance & investigations matters and manages the technical committees related to these areas. He also makes regular contributions to TAXline and newswire. Richard began his tax career at PwC, dealing with a range of clients from small owner-managed businesses through to the UK operations of large multi-national banks, as well as spending time on secondment to the firm's learning and development team. He has spent most of this career in the National Tax teams of top 10 firms, dealing with knowledge management, training, tax standards reviews and other risk management matters. He has a broad range of tax technical expertise but has most recently been focussed on the direct tax issues facing small companies, OMBs and their owners.
