The new UK Plastic Packaging Tax will take effect from 1 April 2022 and will affect businesses principally in retail, wholesale and manufacturing.

Keith McGregor, Chair of Retail Division, Expense Reduction Analysts Keith McGregor is a former Finance Director, having spent the vast majority of his pre-ERA career working in Finance teams for commercial organisations. Since joining ERA in 2015, Keith has focused his attention on the retail sector and became the Chair of ERA’s Retail Division in 2019. Keith's role within ERA is to understand the challenges faced by individual Finance Directors and CFOs in the retail sector, and to work with ERA experts, including Richard below, to help overcome the challenges their businesses are facing.
Richard Anson, Project Specialist (Packaging & Paper), Expense Reduction AnalystsRichard Anson has worked in the Packaging industry for over 30 years, beginning at Scott Paper where he purchased Primary Packaging for leading brands including Andrex. He subsequently worked for Wiggins Teape Packaging Merchant Division as the head of the Purchasing team where he established a pan European supply chain. Since joining ERA in 2001 he has helped over 200 companies to not only reduce their costs, often significantly, but also improve quality and sustainability. This has been especially relevant over the last year where many clients want both recycled and recyclable products in addition to competitive pricing.
