About the speakers

Matthew Tait, Partner, BDO
Matthew is a Business Restructuring (BR) Partner based in London and Gatwick with significant experience of high profile and sensitive engagements. He has developed knowledge across a number of regulated sectors including Education, Charities, Shipping and Healthcare, working with diverse stakeholders with differing objectives to deliver both solvent and insolvent restructurings.
Matthew jointly leads BR’s Government & Not for Profit (G&NfP) team at BDO, coordinating the delivery of multiple skills sets to meet clients’ needs. These include restructuring (solvent and insolvent), financial and operational review, improvement & turnaround, board and stakeholder engagement & communication and contingency & implementation planning, with access to other services across the BDO network.

Katie Cooper, Associate Director, Advisory, BDO
Katie is an Associate Director in BDO’s Business Restructuring team based in Gatwick. She has significant experience advising Corporate and Not for Profit clients on solvent and insolvent restructuring matters and conducting financial reviews. Katie is a Chartered Accountant and ICAEW fellow.

Ross McWhir, Manager, Corporate Advisory, BDO
Ross is a Manager in BDO’s London-based Corporate Advisory Team. He has extensive experience assisting leadership teams and trustees with performance improvement and operational excellence, including transformation management, merger and integrations, and implementing change programmes.
