Finance Act 2022
Audience: Practice and business members with an interest in tax
This session will cover the content of the Finance Act 2022, focussing where appropriate on those issues of relevance to the general practice environment and their clients. The precise content of the course will be determined by the content of the Act, but the material will be dealt with under the following headings:• Business and corporation tax• Personal income tax• Employment taxes• Capital taxes• VAT and other indirect taxes• Tax administration changes
Suitable for: Staff who need to keep up to date with recent changes in tax law. Most applicable to practice members, but members in business may also find the course useful.

How are the courses delivered?All the Essentials CPD courses are run by live webinar
How long will be the webinar be?Total running time for the live webinars is 2hours and twenty minutes. The live webinars are split into two 50 minute sessions with a 10 minute comfort break in between and ending with a 30 minute Q&A session with the speaker.
How do I attend a live webinar?Once you've booked on you will receive an email with your booking confirmation, closer to the time of the event (3-7 days before the event) you will receive the zoom registration link and further joining instructions.
What if I miss the live date?The live webinar will be recorded and offered on-demand the following day.
How long are the on demand webinars? Total running time of the on-demand webinars is 2 hours 10 mins.

Rebecca Benneyworth MBE, BSc, FCARebecca is a chartered accountant with over 35 years experience in practice. She is a writer and consultant on a variety of taxes, and lectures throughout the UK to professionals. She works closely with HMRC on the Making Tax Digital project; and is chair of the Digital Advisory Group; she also sits on HMRC’s Administrative Burdens Advisory Board. Rebecca is a past chair of the ICAEW Tax Faculty, and was named Best Tax Lecturer at the Lexis Nexis Taxation Awards. Rebecca was awarded an MBE for services to the tax profession in 2012. Rebecca will lead our tax programme supported by a team of industry experts.
