John Park Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, UK and Ireland
John became SVP, Chief Financial Officer for McDonald’s UK in April 2016 and is responsible for the Finance, Business Strategy & Insight and Supply Chain functions. John oversees the company’s annual spend with UK suppliers of almost £1.5 billion. John joined McDonald’s, from KPMG, in 2003 as an Assistant Operations Accountant. Since then, his progression through the company has included responsibilities as Regional Accounting Manager, Franchise Finance Manager and Head of Commercial Finance. Prior to his current role, John was Vice President Finance for McDonald’s UK. John is an ICAEW fellow and a member of the ICAEW Retail Advisory Group. John’s favourite McDonald’s menu item is the Big Mac.
Simon Owers, Chief Financial Officer at American Golf
Simon has over 22 years’ experience of corporate restructuring and turnaround situations, taking hands-on assignments for companies in manufacturing, leisure, retail, public sector institutions and professional service businesses. The roles undertaken have included taking the position as interim CFO, developing turnaround strategies, preparing and stress testing business plans, transactional support for private equity firms, cash management, preparing complex integrated financial forecasts and liaising with key stakeholders and financial institutions. Simon is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and is a member of the ICAEW Retail Advisory Group.

Catherine Kelly is Head of Retail and an Audit & Advisory Partner at Cooper Parry – an accountancy firm born from the Midlands that has now expanded nationwide.Cat joined Cooper Parry in 2004 and has spent the last 17 years working with a particular focus on retail clients. She speaks regularly at industry events, including co-hosting the Halfords IFRS 16 Forum for Retailers, and she chairs the advisory group for ICAEW's Retail Community.
