Event Information

A brand-new tax on plastic packaging will be introduced in the UK with effect from 1 April 2022. The aim of the tax is to incentivise the use of recycled material in the production of plastic packaging. Any packaging that does not contain at least 30% recycled materials is likely to be taxable.

The tax will impact any business that manufactures or imports into the UK, plastic packaging or products contained in plastic packaging. Companies will be liable to register for ppt and will pay any tax due if they exceed the threshold of 10 tonnes of plastic packaging per annum.

Our expert speakers will share their understanding of the new tax and implications on business.

Key benefits

  • The thresholds
