Engagement - High Performing Teams

Isn’t creating a high-performance team simply about recruiting the best? Actually, No.

Recruiting the best creates a collection of individually talented personalities working independently. A team works and collaborates together: they understand their own strengths and weaknesses, those of their team members and work together to build a balanced whole.

So how do you craft a team from these individually talented individuals? This event shows you the five key elements of a high performing team.

The first seminar in our five-part series, this event is relevant to anyone working within a team or managing a team

Engagement – Connecting and Influencing Through Stories

Story telling might take us back to childhood, but stories have been used for centuries to pass on information, develop moral compasses and encourage ideal behaviours. How is this?

Research has repeatedly shown that we absorb complex ideas faster and retain the information better when it is delivered through a story, which results in better decisions and actions.

So how do we apply this in the adult world of fact-based accounting? This event shows you how to use the medium of stories to engage and persuade clients, colleagues, managers and more.

The second seminar in our five-part series, this event is relevant to anyone working (or living) with non-technical clients, colleagues, managers, friends or family.

Self-Management – Developing Yourself Before Others

Running out of hours in a day? Found yourself exasperated by a colleague recently? Feeling run down or tired?

In this event we’ll discuss how developing your personal skills improves your results and increases fulfilment within your role:

· Improving your productivity without increasing your working hours significantly reduces stress and can result in working fewer hours;

· Developing your communication skills gets better quality results and more positive responses;

· Building your resilience for times of stress and/or uncertainty (such as year-end in a Global Pandemic?) will reduce feelings of burn-out or exhaustion;

According to a 2021 survey by CV Library; “50% of accountancy professionals are unhappy in their current role. Of those who said they were unhappy, 42% said it was because of a lack of opportunities for development.” Here’s your opportunity to take your development in your own hands and create the career and results you want to see.

The third seminar in our five-part series, this event is relevant to everyone regardless of job role, title or pay grade. This is a standalone event, join us to see what the noise is about!

Leadership – Lead Your Way, Based on Your Strengths

“Leaders are born, not made”

False. Leadership is a skill that can be learned and developed, just like accounting. And, just like a career in accounting, there’s more than one way to do it.

In this event you’ll learn how to cultivate your leadership style based on your strengths and, yes, your weaknesses. You’ll understand how to develop your team around you to enhance everyone’s strengths, balance out and share skills and experience whilst drawing the team together.

Whether you are a blue-sky thinker, a detail oriented personality, love or hate presenting, this workshop will show you how every skillset is the perfect starting point for leadership.

The fourth in our five-part series, this event is relevant to everyone who is currently a leader or aspires to a leadership role any time in the future – it’s never too early to start cultivating the skills. This is a standalone event, join us to see what the noise is about!

Leadership – How Coaching Transforms You and Your Team

If you really want to develop star potential in your team and create your successor for your next promotion, coaching is the leadership style for you.

The transition from manager to leader is the hardest. It means developing your team and relinquishing control, knowing that your team has your back and you have their back. Coaching develops the members of your team by encouraging them to create their own solutions, helping them to run their own projects and workload without leaving them stranded.

Once you are regularly coaching your team they become more independent reducing their everyday reliance on you so you can drive your numbers forward.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to introduce coaching, when to use it and how it can dramatically improve your working life.

The fifth in our five-part series, this event is relevant to everyone who is currently or aspiring to manage a team – it’s never too early to start developing the skills. This is a standalone event, join us to see what the noise is about!
