Event Information

In this webinar on the circular economy, we will take a deeper dive into how innovative retailers are embracing new business models such as rental and resale, swapping single use packaging for reusables and establishing take-back models all while strengthening consumer relationships. Be inspired by hearing how sustainable pioneering companies are embracing the circular economy and why business and revenue models behind success stories are evolving. Our speakers will share some case studies of businesses who have thrived in this circular world and the different approaches being adopted:

  • Pay per use
  • Rent
  • Sell and Buy Back
  • Lease

Then we will consider why going circular in a linear world can open-up new opportunities for the finance function as existing accountancy and financing practices need to change to accommodate circular business. Hear how mindsets around value, impact and risk must evolve and the need for a holistic approach.

Our expert speakers for this webinar are Mart Beune, from KPMG’s Sustainability team focused on circular economy and Usha Ganga from the Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mart and Usha will share with you the pioneering work being done in the Netherlands. Case studies will be taken from this research.
