Many governments and businesses worldwide are moving towards a cashless future through policies, regulation and other initiatives such as digital currencies that limit cash usage and encourage the majority of transactions to be made via electronic payments. Such a shift offers benefits for consumers, including greater convenience and security, while enabling banks and financial service providers to profit.
But there’s also a growing focus on the wider implications of going cashless, and the far-reaching legal and policy issues that could arise. Not everyone has the privilege of having access to technology and internet and those most vulnerable need to be safeguarded. Join Clea Evagorou, Risk Advisory Partner Deloitte Cyprus and Deloitte North South Europe Financial Services Industry Leader for Risk Advisory, as she sets out the challenges and opportunities for businesses and governments as they seek to secure the efficiencies and cost effectiveness of digitisation as well as how they can secure financial inclusion for a prosperous future for all. The presentation will include case studies from across Europe and the Middle East and will be followed by Q&A. We look forward to e-meeting you there! Register to secure your place.
