Event Information

With the rate of inflation predicted to hit around 10% by 2023, join our new webinar to hear advice for businesses looking to weather the storm.

As we near the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a series of supply chain shortages and conflict-raised commodity prices, manufacturing companies have some new financial and commercial challenges to deal with.

Our speakers in this webinar are Nick Tiley, Founder and Director Cambridge Financial Direction, a specialist accountancy service company and Katy Davies, MD of CamdenBoss, a medium sized manufacturing company based in Suffolk. Nick and Katy will share with you their insights and experience on the areas that businesses need to give the most attention to in order to survive and thrive in the next few years.

We will take a deeper look at these practical issues that businesses are grappling with:

  • Costs – can the company fix future prices through forward contracts or hedging?
  • Pricing – how can you price if costs are continuing to rise?
  • Working capital – it’s imperative to ensure there is sufficient cash or facilities to support this.
  • Wage inflation – are there alternatives such as more hours or overtime if the business cannot afford to raise the pay rate ?
  • KPIs – are these still accurate?
  • Stock - can the business buy more stock now to avoid future cost increases
  • Quotes – try and be as open as possible with customers on pricing and potential price increases.
