Course Code 23/23 

This course will analyse recent changes in the law and in accounting standards, including legislative changes and recent case law decisions that have the potential to impact on a wide variety of businesses or individuals.

It will also cover common issues arising recently in the application of the tax law and accounting standards.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Partners, managers and staff in practice who must be aware of the latest developments in tax law and accounting that might affect their clients.

**BBH COURSE VOUCHER SCHEME

Five pre-purchased electronic course vouchers are available for ICAEW members to purchase. Once purchased, ICAEW members may allocate their use to non-members if they choose.

The 2023-2024 vouchers are available to purchase from 1 October 2022 for £360 + VAT and are valid to use on BBH half-day courses taking place until 31 March 2024

Vouchers can be purchased using a credit or debit card at icaew.com/bbhcoursevouchers. A unique code will be issued which can be redeemed when booking online against five half-day places on BBHSCA courses. Vouchers can only be purchased by ICAEW members, but can be redeemed by any individual, including all staff.

Malcolm Greenbaum, ACA, CTA

Malcolm is a UK Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor winning the John Wood Medal in the November 1995 CIOT sitting for the best paper on business taxation.

He was previously Director of Finance and Taxation Programmes at BPP Professional Education and has delivered IFRS, US GAAP, UK Tax and VAT to a multitude of organisations world-wide since 1992.

Malcolm has particular experience in delivering bespoke IFRS and US GAAP training programmes to multi-nationals in the financial services, transport and energy sectors as well as delivering UK tax and VAT update programmes to accounting and law firms.

He is passionate about training and his enthusiasm ensures that the participants enjoy the learning experience whilst gaining knowledge through their engagement in the sessions and through encouraging them to ask questions and discuss practical issues they may have.

Malcolm also provides consultancy services to companies and accounting firms, including provision of tax and VAT advice (such as the hybrid mismatch rules and the corporate interest restriction), reviewing accounting policy manuals and advising on accounting treatments of various transactions.

In his spare time, Malcolm enjoys flying having gained a Private Pilot’s Licence in 2014.

CANCELLATIONS AND LATE BOOKINGS

Cancellations received less than 14 days before the event date will not be refunded. All cancellations must be made in writing to events.information@icaew.com If you cannot attend you can transfer your place to another individual. Places can be transferred at any time up to and including the day of the event.

If BBHSCA cancels the event, our liability in the event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of the fee.
