Budget 2023Suggested audience: Accountants with an interest in tax developments, irrespective of whether they work in practice or businessThis session will update you on the tax content of the Spring 2023 Budget. The Budget is expected to be in March 2023 and may well include further major tax announcements. The course will cover changes under the following headings: (and others if necessary)

CPD hours: ICAEW’s CPD Regulations are changing. From 1 November 2023, members and other professionals regulated by ICAEW will need to complete a minimum number of hours’ CPD per year, some of which will need to be verifiable. Attending events like this could contribute to 2 hours and 10 minutes of verifiable CPD, so long as you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role.
Rebecca Benneyworth MBE, BSc, FCARebecca is a chartered accountant with over 35 years experience in practice. She is a writer and consultant on a variety of taxes, and lectures throughout the UK to professionals. She works closely with HMRC on the Making Tax Digital project; and is chair of the Digital Advisory Group; she also sits on HMRC’s Administrative Burdens Advisory Board. Rebecca is a past chair of the ICAEW Tax Faculty, and was named Best Tax Lecturer at the Lexis Nexis Taxation Awards. Rebecca was awarded an MBE for services to the tax profession in 2012. Rebecca will lead our tax programme supported by a team of industry experts.
How are the courses delivered?All the Essentials CPD courses are run by live webinar on Zoom. Once the live date has passed the courses are available on demand.
How long will be the webinar be?Total running time for the live webinars is 2hours and twenty minutes. The live webinars are split into two 50 minute sessions with a 10 minute comfort break in between and ending with a 30 minute Q&A session with the speaker.
How do I attend a live webinar?Once you've booked on you will receive an email with your booking confirmation, one week before the live event you will receive the zoom registration link and further joining instructions.
How do I access the course notes? The course slide deck will be shared with the Zoom link.
What if I miss the live date?The live webinar will be recorded and offered on-demand 24-48 hours after the live course.
Can I watch the recording after attending the live course? No, delegates can either attend the live session OR have access to the on demand recording, not both.
