VAT Spring Update and reviewSuggested audience: Practice
This session will cover VAT changes in the 12 to 18 months before the date of the course. It will draw material from statutory changes, revised HMRC guidance and announcements made through Revenue and Customs Briefs. Important Tribunal rulings will also be reviewed and commented on. Where appropriate and time permits, the course will also review challenging areas in VAT and proposals for changes post Brexit.
Suitable for: Staff working in practice who need to keep their VAT knowledge current. The course is aimed at the general practitioner rather than VAT specialists. Members working in business may find the course useful in part.
CPD hours: ICAEW’s CPD Regulations are changing. From 1 November 2023, members and other professionals regulated by ICAEW will need to complete a minimum number of hours’ CPD per year, some of which will need to be verifiable. Attending events like this could contribute to 2 hours and 10 minutes of verifiable CPD, so long as you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role.
