What does ‘good’ mental health look like? During this talk, we look at signs and symptoms to look for to identify poor mental health in yourself and others, we address stigma and how to have more valuable conversations around mental health. Some specific focus around child and adolescent mental health and thoughts of harm.

About the speakers

Marcelina Sawicka, Mental Wellbeing Practitioner, Bupa
Marcelina has been in the field of mental health for the last 5 years and been within her current role for just over a year. In her day-to-day role she conducts mental health assessments and makes referrals for further treatment. She also supports clients accessing SilverCloud, which is an online Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy based platform. She delivers various health talks and resilience training around variety of different topics, ranging from self-care, managing stress or burn-out. Her expertise and area of interest is in mindfulness, and she is currently working on publishing her masters research, which investigated the effects of a mindfulness-based intervention on workplace stress and wellbeing.

Roz Harrington, Senior Practice Manager, ICAEW
An experienced engagement strategist and programme manager, Roz works to help practitioners succeed by providing them with access to skills, knowledge and tools to service their clients across the business and wider community. Before joining ICAEW, Roz worked for a healthcare charity overseeing central operations for 35 hospitals across the UK.
