Cerys Freemantle, Professional Consultant, ICAEWCerys had a varied professional background before coming to accountancy giving her a wide range of commercial experience. She trained within a smaller firm before moving to the audit team in a top 10 firm, auditing entities in a wide range of sectors and working with the firm’s quality team. Cerys also has experience in industry as a financial accountant in a large entity before joining the ICAEW Technical Advisory Service and helping members with their technical, ethical, anti-money laundering and company law queries.
Emily Seiorse, Professional Consultant, ICAEWAfter training as a Chartered Accountant at a mid-tier firm, Emily specialised in pension scheme audits during her time in practice and also spent several years managing the group accounting function for multinational in the manufacturing industry. Since joining the ICAEW, she has worked as a professional consultant in the Technical Advisory Service advising members on a wide range of technical, ethical and AML queries, and producing technical content.
Simone Taylor-Allkins, Technical Advisory Service Manager, ICAEWAfter qualifying with a top 20 firm, Simone moved to Grant Thornton and worked with a diverse portfolio of manager-owned businesses in a varied role covering both audit engagements and management accountancy engagements. After 18 months in the audit and assurance team, she transferred to their national training centre in High Wycombe to train audit trainees for the firm. From 2007 to 2010, she decided to apply her skills to the education of non-financial managers working as a freelance finance trainer for worldwide blue chip companies. This eventually led her back to her technical roots in July 2010, joining the ICAEW Technical Advisory Service, helping fellow chartered accountants make sense of accountancy, audit, company law, anti-money laundering and ethical regulations.
Tiffany Vessey, Professional Consultant, ICAEWTiffany trained within audit in a top 10 firm with experience ranging various sectors including international corporates, OMB’s, local charities, pension schemes and academies. She then moved into industry progressing to a senior finance role in a large UK company responsible for the UK finance function, reporting and compliance as well as liaising with the wider international group before joining ICAEW’s Technical Advisory Service. Whilst part of the Technical Advisory Service Tiffany has been advising members on their technical, company law, anti-money laundering and ethical queries as well as helping to produce technical content.
Roz Harrington, Senior Practice Manager, ICAEWAn experienced engagement strategist and programme manager, Roz works to help practitioners succeed by providing them with access to skills, knowledge and tools to service their clients across the business and wider community. Before joining ICAEW, Roz worked for a healthcare charity overseeing central operations for 35 hospitals across the UK.
