As technology advances and our use of it evolves, so does cybercrime and the way criminals capitalise on vulnerable security systems for their gain.

Join ICAEW and the regional Cyber Resilience Centres for updates, and learn how to develop good cyber security measures, to protect your business, customer data, employees, and reputation.

Event information

Every organisation in this country is potentially a target for cyber criminals – whatever its size, location, or sector. However, it is smaller organisations that too often bear the brunt of cybercrime or that don’t have the knowledge, capacity, or resources to maintain any pretence of business as usual during and in the aftermath of an attack.*

This possible threat to business has only increased over the last 18 months, galvanised by a change in behaviours and crime patterns as a result of the pandemic. In March 2021, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport’s (DCMS) Cyber Security Breaches Survey found that almost two-fifths of businesses and over a quarter of charities reported having cyber security breaches or attacks in the previous 12 months, with one in five ending up losing money, data, or assets.*

We are running a series of events with the regional Cyber Resilience Centres who will provide our members with essential information on how to protect their businesses from cyber-attacks.

* - National Cyber Resilience Centre Group.

Covering topics such as:

  • What does a cyber-attack look like?
  • If you’re attacked, what should you do?
  • What is your digital footprint? How much information does this reveal?
  • What are the latest cybercrime trends that police forces are seeing?
  • We discuss the latest cyber-attacks which have made the headlines
