Event information

Due to its focus on innovation and an increasing reliance on connected products and complex supply chains, the manufacturing sector is particularly vulnerable to hacking and data breaches. It's no wonder that manufacturing is now the most targeted sector by cyber-criminals.

In this webinar, our speakers will look at how and why manufacturers are being targeted and what businesses leaders need to have in place when the inevitable attack comes.

What you will hear about:

  • Holistically identifying cyber risks
  • Frameworks and certifications
  • Preventative strategies
  • Tools to use to protect the business
  • What to do if you suffer an attack

For a longer in-depth overview why not sign up for one of our Academy courses.

Key benefits

  • A practical webinar focused on the manufacturing sector and its supply chains
  • Hear about simple tools that can be used
  • Listen to case study examples that bring the topic to life

Karen Morrall, Chief Executive Officer, Lockdown Cyber Security
Karen has been a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW for over 25 years. She has worked in numerous global Enterprise level and SME businesses and is an experienced Group Finance Director.

Karen has worked in both Big Data and Cyber Security companies, she loves technological innovation but recognises the additional risks it brings. So she has co-founded and is the CEO of Lockdown Cyber Security, which sees Cyber Security through the eyes of a finance professional, a different lens to the norm. To educate organisations, business leaders and finance professionals on Cyber Risk. With specific focus on "People risk", as the majority of Cyber incidents result from human actions, that with the right training many could be avoided.

Karen believes building a strong security aware culture is a key defence mechanism in the fight against cyber-crime. Cyber Security training needs to be layered throughout an organisation, to enhance cyber posture and build a strong human firewall.
