Peter Boerhof, Senior Director VAT, Vertex Inc.
Peter is the VAT Director for Vertex. In his role he provides insight and thought leadership regarding the impact of tax regulations, policy, enforcement and emerging technology trends in global tax. Peter has extensive experience in international transactions, business restructuring, tax process optimization and tax automation. Prior to joining Vertex, Peter was responsible for leading the indirect tax function at AkzoNobel. He holds an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management and a masters in tax law from the University of Groningen.

Shaun McCran, Head of Product Marketing for Commerce in EMEA, Adobe
Shaun is a respected lead enterprise and solution architect with more than 20 years of architecture and technology experience. He has a proven track record of planning, leading, and governing high profile & complex programmes whilst supporting and developing a successful team of solution architects. Shaun serves as Head of Product Marketing for Commerce in EMEA for Adobe.

Charles Heal, Commercial Director, Vaimo
Charles has over 20 years’ experience focused on working with medium to large enterprises across EMEA. With a strong focus on working with clients to help them grow internationally and to be able to scale their business to meet future demands. His career has included working with some of the leading names in the industry including Amazon, eBay, Magento and now Vaimo. His experience has focused as much on the technology required to succeed as optimising warehouse operations and call centres to meet demand.

Ed Saltmarsh, Technical Manager, VAT and Customs
Ed joined the ICAEW Tax Faculty in June 2022 as a technical manager focussing on VAT and duties, as well as other indirect taxes. He qualified as a chartered tax advisor in 2017, specialising in indirect taxes, and also has qualifications in customs duties and tax technology. He was previously a senior manager in the VAT team at BDO, where he worked for more than seven years. Ed manages the ICAEW’s VAT Committee (including its Duties Subcommittee) and the Technical and Oversight Committee. He also sits on HMRC’s Joint VAT Consultative Committee and Joint Customs Consultative Committee.
