Event information

Join our webinar with Kamozo to explore the key areas to consider when looking at exiting from practice, to ensure you get the most value from your succession plan. Learn how the data, the tools and the players interact, with insight from a valuation expert, a practitioner and a coach helping you to understand how to approach your exit strategy to maximise return, no matter the size of your practice.

Consider the factors:

  • The data, validated and verified - the foundation of a valuation is built upon evidence of business performance.
  • The tools - insights over time confirm your story, past and future.
  • The players - the people who work for you, those that work with you, those that you work for, all have a role to play and an impact on delivering value in your business.

Key topics

  • Understand the value of validated performance over time and its impact on maximizing the potential value of business on exit.
  • Learn how you can harness the data and the tools, and influence the players, to optimise the outcomes from your exit.

About the speakers

Speaker: Graham Stephen, Co-founder and CEO, bizval
Graham is a CA(SA) with two decades of experience in financial services, including years of involvement with startups and business development activities for large and small entities. With experience across several countries, Graham’s biggest frustration is services that are too complicated and too expensive for entrepreneurs. Co-founding bizval was a direct response to that friction in the market; he helps business owners realise their potential by helping them understand the drivers of value, empowering them to make better decisions around growth, succession and exits.

Speaker: Mark Hill, CEO, Kamozo Ltd
Mark has been successful in establishing a number of businesses in the accountancy sector over the past 28 years, looking for different ways to operate his own practice and drive efficiency through automation. This, he now realises, was where the Kamozo journey started for him. As someone always searching for a better solution and a new challenge, he now heads up the Kamozo team with total focus on helping accountancy practice owners successfully manage everyday issues, improve practice performance, and obtain the insight required to maximise the profit and value from what they do.

Speaker: Richard Brewin, CEO, Progress Barnwell Brewin Limited
Richard Brewin FCA has been an accountant at the sharp end for over 40 years and, since 2009, has been a successful mentor and coach to accountants running their own firms. Today, as a founder and Joint Managing Director of ProgressBB, he is at the forefront of developments in this area with their bespoke online and F2F mentoring and coaching programs for accountants, Progress Foundations. Richard is also a founder partner in The Accountants Coaching Community, a joint UK/Australia collaboration supporting accountants looking to make a real difference.

Facilitator: Hugh Stafford-Smith, Head of Partnerships and Sales, Kamozo Ltd
Hugh has worked closely with clients across a broad spectrum and has gained significant insights into several industry sectors. He has successfully led and managed businesses in the Accounting Software sector both large and small. He began his working life as a salesman and has always seen sales as a vital force in any business. For the last fifteen years his focus has been on sales effectiveness, helping companies of all sizes identify and develop sales & marketing strategies helping them maximise their potential.
