About the speakers

Ian Dyall, Head of Estate Planning – Evelyn Partners Financial Planning Limited
Ian Dyall is the leading Advice Policy Manager for Estate Planning at Tilney. Professionally esteemed in his field both with advisers and clients, Ian is the key spokesperson on estate planning and inheritance tax mitigation. Having been in the industry for over 30 years, Ian has a broad range of experience, but he has spent the majority of his time specialising in estate planning. He is currently responsible for creating and implementing Tilney's advice policy for estate planning and trust related advice, and developing the technical expertise of Tilney's advisers. Ian is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, a Chartered Financial Adviser and a STEP Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP). In 2019, Ian was recognised with an "Outstanding Contribution to Estate Planning" award at the City of London Wealth Management Awards (COLWMA).

Nick Geere, Managing Partner – Evelyn Partners Financial Planning Limited
Nick is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society with over 20 years’ professional experience, including 13 years with Evelyn Partners.

Nick is proud to look after a number of key client relationships with discussions often focussing on creating optimum strategies for Estate Planning including mitigation of inheritance tax. Nick frequently works with his clients’ other professional advisers and, as a result, has developed many strong connections across the tax advisory and accountancy sectors.

CPD hours

ICAEW’s CPD Regulations are changing. From 1 November 2023, members and other professionals regulated by ICAEW will need to complete a minimum number of hours’ CPD per year, some of which will need to be verifiable. Attending events like this could contribute to one hour of verifiable CPD, so long as you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role.
