Corporate Reporting Spring Update

This course will provide an update on non-financial reporting developments, as well as more traditional financial reporting topics, the course has been re-labelled to be a corporate reporting update.

Audience: Practice and business

The update will cover all the latest changes to UK GAAP, new FRC and ICAEW guidance, and news from Companies House, including Companies House reform. There will also be an overview of any relevant IFRS issues.

This is a topical course and its content will reflect that. The webinar will use practical examples and case studies, where relevant, and will cover:

  • Recent changes to FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Progress on the periodic review of FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Changes to other relevant accounting standards and SORPs
  • Any other relevant Exposure Drafts
  • Companies House reform – changes to small company requirements
  • The latest on narrative reporting and sustainability
  • The latest guidance from ICAEW
  • Other problem areas, such as related party disclosures, provisions, share based payments

Suitable for: This update is for all accountants in practice or industry and commerce who prepare financial statements under UK GAAP. The issues covered will apply for small and large companies.

CPD hours: ICAEW’s CPD Regulations are changing. From 1 November 2023, members and other professionals regulated by ICAEW will need to complete a minimum number of hours’ CPD per year, some of which will need to be verifiable. Attending events like this could contribute to 2 hours and 10 minutes of verifiable CPD, so long as you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role.
