Event information

Our half-day online seminar, chaired by Anjali Kothari, Partner - Head of Education at Moore Kingston Smith, will look at the key changes in the Academies sector over the last 12 months and upcoming developments. Key technical guidance will be provided by industry experts to assist school governors and their advisers through updates on accounting, audit, legal and governance issues.

The programme includes an update on the Academies Accounting Direction, a legal update on the Companies House changes, and we will cover property issues and pension scheme valuations. We will also look at going concern and the practical implications of growing a MAT and explore how internal and external auditors can work together effectively. The event will outline the practical considerations for GAG pooling, and we will conclude with an update from ESFA on LGPS in the Academy sector.

All live sessions will be recorded and available for delegates to revisit on demand after the event.
