Event information

Once it is launched, the new INPAG framework will offer the first globally developed accounting solution for non-profits and will set a new global benchmark for guiding non-profit organisations (NPOs) in how to prepare their financial reporting and accounts. Although it shares some of the same underpinnings- the IFRS for SMEs- with UK-Irish GAAP FRS102, INPAG is wholly developed with non-profits in mind. The Charities SORP guides charities in applying UK-Irish GAAP but INPAG may well come to influence the future of the PBE aspects of UK-Irish GAAP even if not immediately adopted as part of GAAP. Knowing what INPAG is, inputting to its development and debating its future role will be important to charities and those advising them.

In this webinar, you will learn about the latest developments in the IFR4NPO initiative, with a focus on the third (and final) Exposure Draft (ED3) of International Non-Profit Accounting Guidance (INPAG) and its implications. ED3 will focus on fund accounting, the classification of expenses, fundraising costs, and the transition to INPAG. These topics will have the greatest impact on the usefulness of financial information and influence the design and setup of accounting systems. It will also consider donor reporting formats (referred to as ‘Supplementary statements’), including accounting for donor funded assets.

Find out about the third Exposure Draft and how to have your say.

Key benefits

  • Hear the latest IFR4NPO developments.
  • Understand the third Exposure draft of INPAG.
  • Explore the potential impact on the future of the UK PBE SORPs.
