Event information

The legal sector is continually evolving, bringing new challenges with each change. In February, the consumer protection review discussion paper released hinted at significant shifts in how law firms might manage client money. Moreover, following the postponement of minor changes to the Accounts Rules. This webinar will provide clarity on Client Own Accounts and offer some relevant tax updates for the legal sector.

About the speaker

Robert Blech, Partner, MHA

Robert is a qualified accountant and specialises in accounts preparation, audit and general consultancy as well as areas of taxation. Robert has a legal background and due to his extensive technical knowledge and deep understanding of the sector, takes charge of Solicitor Accounts Rules audits and is responsible for training within the firm. Robert has worked within the industry for over 20 years and joined MHA in April 2019.

CPD hours

ICAEW's revised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Regulations bring in new CPD requirements. This includes a minimum number of hours and an ethics requirement. Attending this webinar could contribute up to 1 hour of verifiable CPD, providing you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role.

A copy of the webinar booking confirmation email is accepted as evidence of verifiable CPD. You will need to save the email as a JPEG or PDF before uploading it to your record. Click here to use ICAEW’s self-assessment tool to help you work out how much CPD you will need to fulfil each year.
