Event information

From October 2024, the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Bill will strengthen existing protection for workers against sexual harassment. The new law will place a new duty on employers to take 'reasonable steps' to prevent sexual harassment. This new bill as well as existing legislation, including the Equality Law, Human Rights Act 1998 and the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (as amended), all dictate the responsibility of the employer in this area.

Key benefits

  • Understand what constitutes Sexual Harassment and Discrimination and what doesn’t.
  • Understand legislation, duty of care and reasonable steps.
  • Examine societal behaviours, data and real-life cases.
  • Practical tips on how to act, how to respond and how to challenge sexual harassment.
