Practice Assurance for insolvency practices

Victoria Alexandrou, insolvency manager in QAD, will discuss ICAEW’s Practice Assurance regime and the key elements that relate to insolvency practices. She will cover what to expect when QAD conduct a Practice Assurance visit to your firm as well as some common findings from Practice Assurance visits to IPs. She will also discuss what additional areas QAD might want to review as part of your insolvency visit if your firm’s AML supervisor is another RPB or HMRC.

About the speakers

Victoria Alexandrou, Insolvency Manager, ICAEW Victoria has over 20 years’ insolvency experience. She has worked in firms ranging from a sole practitioner to one of the Big 4. Victoria completed the JIEB in 2011. She joined ICAEW’s QAD department in 2016 and has recently been promoted to insolvency manager. Outside of work, Victoria spends much of the summer months attending various motoring events around the country.

Allison Broad, Head of Insolvency Monitoring, ICAEW Allison Broad is ICAEW’s Head of Insolvency Monitoring and is responsible for QAD’s insolvency monitoring team. She is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and regularly speaks about insolvency-related matters.
