Small and micro entity accounting

This session is an update and refresher targeted at small and micro companies. There are many changes ahead, for small companies in particular which may, impact the information disclosed in financial statements and the information filed at Companies House.

This is a topical course and its content will reflect that, but it is likely to cover:• Changes to the Companies Act impacting the small and micro company regimes
• Amendments to FRS 102 The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and FRS 105 The Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime
• A comprehensive guide to small company disclosure and presentation
• Eligibility for small company and group exemptions
• Common recognition and measurement problems

Suitable for: This update is for accountants in practice or industry and commerce who prepare financial statements for small and/or micro companies under UK GAAP.

CPD hours: ICAEW's revised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Regulations bring in new CPD requirements. This includes a minimum number of hours and an ethics requirement. Attending this webinar could contribute up to 2 hours 10 minutes of verifiable CPD, providing you can demonstrate that the content is relevant to your role. A copy of the webinar booking confirmation email is accepted as evidence of verifiable CPD. You will need to save the email as a JPEG or PDF before uploading it to your record.
