Event information

Have you been considering making a move to an independent portfolio or fractional career but are being held back by too many unknowns? Perhaps a traditional corporate career no longer provides you with fulfilment, or this is the time for increased flexibility? Do you wish to explore your options or maybe you are looking for inspiration from others?

If so, book onto ICAEW’s Portfolio Careers webinar and discover more about the world of portfolio and fractional working for chartered accountants. In this roundtable event our panellists will share with you their motivation for launching a portfolio career, how they got started, how they have grown their portfolio, the different ways of getting roles via a recruiter, via network and direct to business and the pitfalls along the way.

We will hear what the jobs market looks like in late 2024, how best to track down positions and how much you can expect to earn. The focus of the webinar will be fractional and portfolio finance roles in the SME sector.

However, he opted to put his degree to good use shortly afterwards by going into Accountancy Recruitment.  In 2013, Phil founded FD Recruit, where he and his team work with companies to secure Finance Directors and CFOs on an Interim, Full-Time, Permanent or Part-Time basis.

Through his practice, Jonathan has acted for companies in media, property and technology sectors and has been finance lead for 2 junior market IPOs, and a number of M&A transactions on both the buy and sell side.
