I am a partner at Azets, Head of Tax for Yorkshire Region and Leeds Office Managing Partner

I lead the delivery of tax services to a wide range of companies from small owner managed businesses to large international corporate groups. The tax landscape has changed significantly in recent years and my focus is on helping businesses manage tax risk and ensure that tax compliance obligations are met efficiently. Tax is now an important part of business strategy and I make sure that business owners have the right things on their radar and are equipped to deal with the complexities and challenges that arise.

Outside work I like to keep active and spend as much time as possible outdoors – preferably in the mountains or near the sea. I love cycling and walking although now with a young son in tow!

Dani is a senior finance professional with experience leading in all sizes of businesses from SMEs to FTSE 100 PLCs, and sector experience in marketing, retail, utilities, various tech, gaming and property. She began her Portfolio career to give ambitious SMEs access to the highest level of commercial and financially savvy support, as well as to gain more control over her own work/life balance. Having gained so much personally from the transition from Corporate to Portfolio, Dani is now not only passionate about helping SMEs thrive, but also about helping other senior finance professionals’ access this rewarding fractional career and has grown a team including 8 other experienced CFOs all helping clients in our area to thrive

Claire Rollo FCA | Director | UK National Audit Office 

Claire is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, based in York. After starting her career with the National Audit Office in London, Claire returned to the North East to establish an expanded NAO office in Newcastle in 2006. Currently, Claire is responsible for the audit of the BBC Group and is the NAO’s ‘Qualified Person Responsible for Training’ for their graduate and apprentice ICAEW training schemes.

During her time at the NAO, Claire has audited most of the major departments of state and their arms length bodies, co-led the NAO’s centre of expertise for fraud and error from 2016-2021, and has undertaken a number of projects including support for pre-EU accession countries to develop their government audit functions, and developing and delivering audit and audit software support and training. Claire has been involved in people development for nearly 20 years, mentoring within and outside of the NAO, with an interest in supporting women progressing their careers.

Outside of work, Claire loves to travel, often combining that with watching sport, and likes to swim, read or enjoy a movie to relax.

She joined RBC Brewin Dolphin from Investec where she was Co-Head of Wealth Advisory for the UK business. She is passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive company culture as a critical foundation. Michelle has over 20 years’ experience specialising in providing financial advice on inheritance tax planning, pensions, investments and trusts to high net worth clients across the UK.
