Event Information

Our Women in Finance insight group offers members the opportunity to grow their professional networks, forge new business relationships, gain support from fellow professionals, and discuss & learn about key topics relevant to you, to your career, to enhancing your skillset and to improving your effectiveness as an ever-evolving finance professional.

With delegates joining from across the London region and covering a different topic or theme of discussion each time, the group brings together female ACA/FCAs working in accountancy and finance-related roles, and from across an interesting breadth of industries, disciplines, and backgrounds, to encourage the sharing of experience, open learning, collaboration, networking, and peer-to-peer support.

Previous topics of discussion have focussed on: -

  • Shaping your career – breaking through the glass ceiling

The sessions will be chaired by Charlotte Hoborough | Director - Global Employer Solutions - Expatriate Tax at BDO UK LLP.

About the chair

Chair | Charlotte Hobrough  

Charlotte is a Director in the Expatriate tax team at BDO where she supports assignees and private clients with the tax and social security implications of international moves. She has experience advising employers on expatriate payroll issues, business traveller compliance, and structuring of assignment policies, and has recently been heavily involved in advising and presenting on compliance issues associated with international remote workers and hosting roundtable sessions with clients to discuss a wide range of global mobility issues. She is also Secretary of Women In Tax London, which is a network for women working in tax, as well as on the committee of BDO’s Supporting Women in Tax group and enjoys being involved in organising events which create connections between people in tax, HR and financial services.
