Event Information

Our Summer 2025 outing for BBH Retired Members will be a guided tour of the house at Waddesdon Manor. This stunning National Trust property was one of the most requested destinations in our 2020 survey and we are thrilled to finally make this visit a reality.

The Manor is a masterpiece of French Renaissance architecture nestled in the heart of the English countryside.

Please aim to arrive in the car park at Waddesdon by 10:15, this will allow us time for parking and any inadvertent delay. We will meet at the Welcome Pavilion and then take a shuttle bus from the car park to the North Fountain. The shuttle bus service runs approximately every fifteen minutes.

On arrival at the North Fountain we will make our way to the house. The guided tour will begin at 11am and take approximately 1 hour.

The tour will uncover the fascinating history of the Rothschild family and explore one of the most remarkable private collections of art, furniture and decorative treasures in Europe.

Led by an expert guide, we will experience the Manor’s opulent interiors, unveiling the stories behind its breathtaking architecture, exquisite collection and the influential family who brought it to life. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, an art lover or simply looking for a unique day out, this tour promises an unforgettable journey into luxury, heritage and culture.

Following the tour, guests are free to explore the house and grounds at leisure.

National Trust members must bring their cards with them on the day.

While the cost of this outing is higher than usual, we hope you’ll find it worthwhile given the exceptional experience on offer. To help keep the price as affordable as possible, catering is not included; however, you are welcome to bring your own refreshments or make use of the on-site cafes.

ICAEW Members may bring one paying guest. Please note places are limited and early booking is recommended.
